I started looking into Rockhurst and all of a sudden I realized it was the right price. It was asynchronous. There was a good cohort structure where you can engage with people.

What I loved most about my time at Rockhurst was the personal time that I had with my professors. They didn't make it about them; it was about the students.

I really liked the capstone approach versus the thesis. I think that the capstone allows you to put into practice things that are really important to you, and that I feel passionate already about.

One thing I really liked about the program was the emphasis it put on the quantitative side of the research. Going the capstone route, not only was it more realistic and fit with industry a little bit better, you also come away with something very tangible.

The online convenience at Rockhurst is amazing because as a professional, as a mom, as just a busy human being, being able to do the work when I'm able to, you know, sometimes it's early in the morning or late at night, just allows that flexibility.

Only having 25 people in the class was awesome. I just enjoyed getting to know everyone here.

When I discovered Rockhurst was developing an Ed.D. program, a supportive faculty was a key factor for my application. Having completed my M.Ed from Rockhurst University in 2018, I knew firsthand the exceptional level of support that is given by faculty to the students. Considering a research topic that some would consider controversial felt like a risk. However, all of my professors have found ways to not only mention but celebrate diverse populations and cultures, including the LGBTQ+ community in their courses. For that, I am very grateful. I would be remiss not to mention all of the support I have received from Dr. Guler (Director of the Ed.D. program). In addition to offering academic and scholarly resources and support, Dr. Guler inspires, motivates, and affirms me that my research is valuable and important.

Rockhurst is small and very focused, and everybody at Rockhurst wants all the students to succeed. I feel like my faculty members know who I am, even with this online program.
