Rockhurst University and Saint Luke’s College of Nursing and Health Sciences are accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. Nursing programs and courses are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education*.
Saint Luke’s College of Nursing and Health Sciences is approved by the State of Missouri to participate in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). As a participating institution, Saint Luke’s College of Nursing and Health Sciences may offer online programs to students in other SARA member states without seeking authorization in that state.
The School of Education is accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation. Business courses are accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.

Admission Requirements
The admission requirements for the Ed.D. in Education and Leadership program are as follows:
- Master’s degree in any field OR completion of 33 graduate credits
- 3.0 GPA
- 2 letters of recommendation (professional)
- Personal statement
- Research statement
- Resume
- Transcripts from all universities attended (Evaluations for international transcripts are required. WES and others are accepted.)

Yes. Residents in all 50 states are eligible to apply to Rockhurst’s online Ed.D. in Education and Leadership program.
This degree requires 45 credits to graduate. Students must be able to transfer 33 graduate credits from a master's degree in any field.
This program can be completed in 6 semesters (2 years).
Yes, coursework is delivered 100% online. Upon completion of the final research capstone project, students will have an opportunity to present their project.
There are 2 intakes per year: Summer and Fall.
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion graduate certificates are available for all concentrations to increase your degree’s value at no additional charge. A STEAM certificate for K-12 Leadership and a Medical Spanish certificate for Health Care Education are also offered and included in the tuition. For all graduate certificates, students will complete 4 elective courses for a total of 12 credits. Contact your enrollment adviser for more information.
