Biography
Dr. Michael Shoemaker is a faculty member in the Department of Education at Rockhurst University, where he teaches courses in research methods and statistics. His research interests include career and technical education (CTE), military medicine, and healthcare workforce development. Dr. Shoemaker’s scholarly work focuses on the relationship between CTE program participation and student success outcomes, including GPA, standardized test performance, attendance, and behavioral indicators. His recent research has been published in The Journal of Career and Technical Education.
In addition to his teaching and research, Dr. Shoemaker has led academic program development in the design of a graduate certificate in long-term care administration and the delivery of healthcare administration coursework at the graduate level.
