Ken Balusek, Ph.D., J.D., is the Associate Chair of the Department of Psychology, Justice, and Society and is an Associate Professor of Criminal Justice at Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Missouri. He also teaches statistics in the Ed.D. program. Dr. Balusek received his Doctorate of Philosophy in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University (SHSU) in Huntsville, Texas. While at SHSU, he studied Event History Modeling, Hierarchal Linear Modeling, and Structural Equation Modeling, in addition to other statistical techniques. Prior to entering academia full-time, he practiced law for 15 years. His research interests include criminological theory development and testing, program evaluation, and factors related to recidivism.
