Online Master of Science in Nursing–Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (MSN-AGACNP)
Provide Acute Care for the Soaring Adult and Older Adult Population
In less than two decades, the U.S. Census Bureau reports that older Americans will outnumber children for the first time in U.S. history. By 2034, the number of people 65 years and older is expected to reach 77 million.
This demographic shift points to rising health care needs for adults and older adults. Rockhurst University’s online Master of Science in Nursing–Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) program provides you with the opportunity to address the growing need for nurse practitioners in this specialized area of care.
Adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioners manage critical and chronic conditions in adults and older patients, diagnose health conditions, and provide quick and incisive care. Through complex monitoring and the development of individualized treatment plans, they also prevent future complications and improve the overall health of patients in this population.
Delivered by Saint Luke’s™ College of Nursing and Health Sciences, Rockhurst’s online AGACNP program can be taken on a full- or part-time basis. Guided by Jesuit values, Rockhurst University prepares adult-gerontology acute care advanced practice nurses to care for the needs of the whole person through rigorous academics, rich and varied clinical experiences, and a spirit of inquiry and reflection.
